communicates with Buy.com using a FTP site, so you will need to contact them at MPIntegration@mail.rakuten.com to request FTP credentials, and enter them on Settings > Company Settings > Company Name > Toolbox > Buy.com > General Settings.
If you are working on an installation of SellerCloud installed on
your private server, an error code 425 indicates that the firewall
will need to be adjusted to allow for communication with
Buy.com. Active FTP requires the clients firewall to allow
traffic above > 1023 from port 20 & 21. Port 20 is the
data communication port that most people forget to allow.
Shipping Method Mapping:
has a few different shipping options for the customer to choose from
and you need to map those options to the shipping methods and
carriers that you use. For example, if the customer selects 'Second
Day Air', the mapping can have the order to be marked 'UPS 2nd Day
Air'. Go to Settings > Company Settings > Company Name > Toolbox > Buy.com Settings > Shipping Method Mapping.
Buy.com ProductIDs from existing listings:
the Buy.com portal, navigate to Manage Inventory > 'Download
your Currently Posted Listings', and click 'Request Export Download'
button. After a few minutes click the 'Check Export Status'
button. Then click 'ListingDownload.zip' and
download the listings file. There is a text file in the zip folder
with a list of all active listings. Save File.
Now go to Settings > Company Settings > Company Name > Toolbox > Buy .com Properties > ImportProductID to upload file. New products will be created and existing products will update.
Import open orders:
you can start shipping your Buy.com orders you should really make
sure that everything has been ship confirmed. If there are open
orders in buy.com you need to bring into SellerCloud. An open order report can
be downloaded form Buy.com and imported into SellerCloud under Orders > Import Orders. Select channel and Import file.
